Good morning friends, and Happy Friday! I couldn’t be more exited for the weekend — we’re going to a keilbasa smoking + polka party tonight (yes, you heard that right) with my sister’s future in-laws! Since everyone in my family is Polish — including my hubby! — this is totally up our alley.

Anyway, on to this week’s feature for Healthy Chicks  in the Community! Every week I feature a woman in the community who embodies what it means to live well, both inside & out! This week, I wanted to give you the inside scoop on the chick behind the blog, that is M-E! For those of you who have been reading for years THANK YOU, and those new to the blog welcome to the family! OK, now it’s time to get to know me a little better… 😉

PHOTO TAKEN: Last weekend, right after my beautiful mom gave me a new ‘do!

WHAT YOU DO FOR WORK: I wear many hats. I run the Community Marketing for sweetgreen in Boston — they’re a pretty sick company if you haven’t heard of them! And as a certified health coach & lover of writing, I also manage this blog, write for other outlets, and run seasonal wellness programs, that can be done from anywhere! Stay tuned…next one’s coming up in December 😉

NUMBER ONE PASSION: Connecting with others. I like to know your story, who you are (like who you really are), and what makes you unique!

I FEEL MY HEALTHIEST SELF WHEN I AM: Taking time to slow down + be present.

BUT I AM ALSO A REAL GIRL & SOMETIMES: I eat lots of takeout pad thai, watch Netflix for hours (right now I’m on a Gilmore Girls kick) and leave behind a messy apartment in favor of being with the people I love.

TOP THREE KITCHEN STAPLES: Organic eggs, garlic + olive oil, and something green like collards, kale or swiss chard!

NUMBER ONE GUILTY PLEASURE: CHEESE!! Dill havarti and sharp cheddar are my favorites, but I love all…well, except Swiss.

THREE FAB THINGS ABOUT YOU:

1) I’m quirky + fun-loving, and totally OK with laughing at myself

2.) I have been writing this blog for 7 years!

3.) I can talk to pretty much anyone + have a knack for getting into cool events / given free stuff (I get it from my dad!)

EXERCISE THAT MAKES YOU SHINE: Yoga + running!

FAVORITE COMFORT FOOD: It’s a tie between my mom’s Chicken Divan or Chicken Parmesan & Fettucine Alfredo

MESSAGE YOU’D LIKE TO SHARE WITH OTHER HEALTHY CHICKS: Own who you are & keep shining on! No one can do something as good as you can because, well, they’re not you! Comparison to others is by far the worst thing you can do for yourself. Instead, let’s strive to celebrate other women and continue to shine bright! Oh, and slow the eff down.
