Baby’s First Christmas {The Holiday Season Through the Eyes of 4 Month Old Isabella Rose}

Last year mommy was wishing for me — she even received an ornament that said just “Believe.” Little did you know, I was already on the way, a magical journey just like Santa’s sleigh.

“It’s a Christmas miracle,” mommy shouted when she took the test. I was just a tiny poppyseed then, so I don’t really remember the rest. This Christmas, you get to actually hold me in your arms nice and tight, as the stars twinkle all through the night.

You took me to this place with a warm fire & lots of different shaped trees. “That’s the one!” daddy pointed and shouted with glee! I may have been sleeping for most of the trip, but I still had fun sucking my thumb and minding my own business.

Daddy likes the colored lights just like me, decorated with pretty ornaments on our Christmas Tree. This year I get special ones made with my name — Isabella Rose — and they twinkle in the night just like Rudolph’s red nose. When you feed me in the morning we listen to Christmas songs like Santa Claus is Coming to Town, but I’d have to say my very favorite is the album from Charlie Brown.

The gingerbread house making party was lots of fun with the fam, but since I’m still little I only got a gingerbread man. Mommy and daddy decorated it with skittles, gum drops and rainbow sprinkles, and then my older cousins sang Baby Shark and Christmas jingles.

Poppy and Gammy took me to meet this man named Santa Claus, as this cool lady flashed a camera at me, giving me time in between to pause. I love car rides at night this time of season, and I peek out the window at all the glowing houses when I’m not sleeping. I even got to see my very first snow! It looked really pretty but I stayed inside where it wasn’t cold.

I’ve been told this man Santa brings presents for all the kids down the chimney, but mommy and daddy said they already got the best gift this year — and that gift is me. Here’s a little secret: I feel the same way they do — my parents are the best gift in the world and that is the truth.

So Merry Christmas to Mr. Bear, Lacy the llama, my new friends and family, may it be filled with lots of joy, milk & cookies, and miracles you may not yet be able to see!
