Developing A Summer Mindset + My Night Out in Chestnut Hill Square
This past Monday officially marked the first day of summer, and I was lucky enough to ring it in with a few other bloggers for a night of fitness, shopping & dining in Chestnut Hill Square.
We started the night off with a sweaty spin sesh at SoulCycle, followed by some shopping at Athleta (where I just had to buy these crops in Tahitian Teal, don’t they just scream summer?!?) After some shopping, it was time for dinner at Seasons52, where we were wined + dined galore.
We started off with a Peach Bourbon Smash cocktail (a sneak peek from their new summer menu!), and our lovely waitress brought us a couple different flatbreads to try: Blacked Steak & Blue Cheese and Lobster & Fresh Mozzarella. Both were absolutely delicious, but the lobster one was the favorite; I think it was the lobster sour cream that really put me over the edge 😉
After the flatbreads, we moved onto a watermelon feta & heirloom tomato salad, which was oh so refreshing! Our waitress then brought out another strawberry cocktail to try, with fresh strawberries that were infused in vodka…oh my! (Time to start pacing myself!)
For my main dish, I chose the Wild Alaskan Copper River Salmon, which was served with creamy lemon risotto, peas and asparagus — pretty much my dream combo! Dessert was an array of mini shooters (ranging from key lime pie to chocolate peanut butter tote) but I had to pass since I was STUFFED to the max.
I couldn’t think of a better way to ring in the first day of summer, and I am so grateful to the team at Chestnut Hill Square for including me in a fun & delicious girls night out. Sweating, seasonal dining & evening’s out with amazing like-minded people is truly what makes summer so magical for me!
TIME TO STEP INTO A SUMMER MINDSET
Speaking of summer, if you haven’t already, it’s time to step into a summer mindset. I’ve been hearing a lot of fat talk, body-bashing and shedding the weight for bikini season, and every year it makes me just as angry.
So I ask you to check in with yourself, and ask what kind of mindset you’ve been having lately. If it’s one of self-hate or negativity, Â you may want to dig a little deeper and ask what summer truly meals to you.
What makes you FEEL your best self during the summer months?
How can you incorporate more play + celebration into your life?
Who are the kinds of people you want to surround yourself with this season?
How can you appreciate, celebrate, nourish + LOVE UP your bod this summer?
Do you have a special intention you’d like to work toward?
Reflect on those questions, let them sink in. After all, you have no one to prove yourself to other than yourself. All that other sh*t doesn’t matter. It’s time to take charge of the season & make this one rockin’ summer of (self)love to go down in the books!
xoxo
