Inspiring Pieces From Women Around the Web

Who inspires you?

Being a blogger and freelance writer, I am also (no surprise here) obsessed with reading other people’s blogs, magazine articles and inspirational essays. Often, I am drawn to other women who I can relate to and cooking-related blogs, because they make me feel inspired, motivated and connected.

This week, I’ve read a number of amazing pieces from a variety of bloggers whom I follow, and felt that I just had to share their stories with you. It’s only fair, after all. Take a look at these powerful women around the web who’ve got me bookmarking their posts left and right.

“Love, Loss and Spaghetti” by Bianca, Confessions of a Chocoholic: I always love the way Bianca writes, making you feel as if you are right there with her, whether she’s traveling Italy, trying one of Boston’s best restaurants, or biting into a decadent gourmet cheese. This powerful piece of love, food, and loss in particular made me feel like I was right there with her, as I could empathize with what she went through.

“Photo Inspiration: 10 Years of yo-yo dieting” by Elina, Healthy & Sane: Elina is one of the most honest bloggers I know, never afraid to share her emotions or talk about issues like weight and body image with pure honesty and confidence. This is one piece that really touched me, as I’m sure many women can relate to the struggles that come along with yo-yo dieting and finding your “happy weight.”

“Things Take Time (And That Time is Now)” by Jen, Blonde, Bronzed, Twentysomething: This beautiful, blonde relationship guru is here for you in any time, whether you are going through a painful breakup or going on your first date. This piece speaks to anyone who has ever struggled to find themselves again, and open the door for happiness.

How to Lead a Passionate Life Without Being Passionate About Your Job” by Rachel, The Life & Lessons of Rachel Wilkerson: Rachel is one of my favorite bloggers, and no it’s not because we share the same name. She is truly the funniest, most ridiculous, yet practical woman I know (well, through the blogging world, that is). Her pieces range from everything to sex, relationships,  workout tips and yummy recipes. This particular article caught my eye as so many women struggle to find their “passion,” and Rachel shows you how you can find it in other ways than your 9 to 5 job.
